How far do you travel for in-home visits?
On a case-by-case scenario, we will travel up t0 40 miles from Sykesville, MD for an initial consult only. Please contact us or request an appointment through our booking page if interested in a home visit.
If I am not in your travel radius, can I still be seen?
Absolutely. If you are in the State of Maryland, you are eligible for our services.
All visits can be completed in a virtual HIPAA-compliant tele-health platform.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, please refer to our Billing & Insurance page at the top for more information.
The self-pay rate is $200 for an initial virtual appointment/$275 for initial in-home visit, and $100 for any follow-up appointments. Payment is due at the time of service. We are happy to provide a Superbill, but make no guarantee of reimbursement.
Why choose Hummingbird Health and Wellness?
Emilie is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with 2 decades of clinical experience and additional certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor. As such, Emilie has the experience and knowledge to clinically manage a broader range of issues than a lactation specialist who may not have a medical background or certification.
Do you accept FSA/HSA?
You may use your FSA/HSA debit/credit card at time of payment, however Hummingbird Health and Wellness, LLC, makes no guarantee to the acceptance of the claim by your insurance.
What if I need lab-work, a prescription, or other procedure??
No problem - as a Nurse Practitioner, Emilie can generally order what may be necessary without needing to see another provider to do so, that way you can focus on taking care of yourself and your baby, and not on juggling additional referrals.
Do you see clients virtually?
Yes! To bridge access to care, we are proud that currently all of our services are offered through a HIPAA-complaint virtual telehealth platform.
